Make sure you vote using the following guidelines:

  1. Use our Voter Guide.

The Voter Guide covers the president, the candidates, the judges and the propositions. [Click HERE]

  • How to vote the best way.
  • Take your ballot to a polling place if you can do so.  It is more likely to be counted if it is turned in at a polling place.
  • As an alternative, use the new “voter boxes.”
  • If you are voting using an absentee ballot and you either can’t or don’t feel comfortable mailing the absentee ballot, you can fill it out and hand it in at one of the locations mentioned above.

Note:  if you want to use a voting booth and you have a vote-by-mail ballot, you must bring that ballot with you.  Some election officials have a way to check if the vote-by-mail ballot was received, but don’t take a chance.

  • Voting by mail instructions so your vote counts.

If you are using a vote-by-mail ballot, you must do the following or your vote won’t count.

  • Make sure you use black ink.
  • Use the provided envelope
  • Seal it.
  • Sign with your signature, the way you signed at registration.
  • And finally, date the envelope with the date you mail the ballot (not your birthday).
  • Don’t allow someone else to mail in your ballot.  Do it yourself unless you fully trust the person
  • You can deliver it by hand to the post office or to the election polling place. The election polling place is the best option.
  • Let other people know about our voter guide.

Post it on your Facebook.  [Click HERE].

Email this newsletter or the voter guide to as many people as you think would find it useful.

  • Who in your family or among your neighbors needs your help
You ask to help them by taking them to the poll – and, when legal, helping them to fill out their ballot accurately.

Are there people in your church?  Friends, family, neighbors?

Remember over 40% of people you know will not vote.

  • Ballot Harvesting.
Community ballot harvesting is going door-to-door.  Or, to your homeschool association, friends, neighbors.  Offer to take the ballot to the polls for them.  20-30% of the ballots you collect would never be sent in otherwise.

If your church is planning to have Ballot Harvesting on Sunday, participate.

Have the pastor talk about the election and the voter guide.

Have the pastor receive the ballots and deliver to the polling place.

  • Volunteer.
Volunteer for the election in the next several days by making phone calls or going door-to-door.
  • Donate.
Donate to help the election.  We can take last minute donations that can make a big difference.  Pray about investing to turn around American politics by donating to the Turn America Around Fund.
  • Make sure you get my book, The Christian Voter Guide: 7 Non-Negotiables for Voting For, Not Against, Your Values.  It will be good for this election and will help lay the groundwork for the next election as well.
