Pensacola Naval Air Station Shooting: 8 Little-Known Facts You Should Know [Video]

Unspeakable tragedy struck 3 military families in the early morning hours of December 6th

A Saudi Arabian national – a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Saudi Air Force who was attending pilot training and English language school at Pensacola Naval Air Station – entered the base and killed 3 soldiers and wounded 8 others before he was killed by Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies.

Media reporting of this shooting – especially the life-saving heroics of recent Naval Academy graduate Joshua Watson – has been spotty due to its obsession with covering the impeachment of President Trump.

Here are 8 little-reported facts you should know about this mass shooting:

1. The shooting was premeditated and planned.

The night before the attack, the shooter hosted a dinner party at which he and 3 other Saudi students watched videos of other mass shootings in the U.S.

2. The shooter was a Muslim extremist who hated the U.S.

Prior to the attack, he posted a justification of his actions on Twitter:

  • He complained about U.S. wars in Muslim countries.
  • He wrote of his hatred for the American people.
  • He criticized U.S. support for Israel.
  • He quoted anti-American rhetoric from Osama bin Laden.

3. Other Saudi students knew about the attack ahead of time but did nothing to prevent it.

The outside of the classroom building where the attack occurred was filmed by another Saudi student…

Two additional Saudi students watched the shooting from a parked car.

They had to have known ahead of time that the attack was going to take place in order to be at the classroom building early that morning.

4. Navy Ensign Joshua Watson saved many lives by his act of heroism.

Ensign Watson was on watch duty at the entrance of the classroom building where the mass shooting took place.

He was shot at least 5 times as the gunman entered the building…

Despite being fatally wounded, Watson managed to exit the building and give the first response team a description of the shooter … and his location in the building.

His actions allowed the county sheriff’s deputies to engage the shooter and neutralize him more quickly than they otherwise could have.

5. Naval personnel are not allowed to carry firearms on base.

Ensign Watson was an expert marksman from his training at the Naval Academy.

Had he been allowed to carry a firearm while he was assigned to watch duty for the classroom building, he could have engaged the shooter … and perhaps saved his own life as well as the lives of the other who were shot and killed.

6. The media is downplaying the radical Islamic background of the shooter.

One network news media host described the gunman as “very religious” without mentioning his religious affiliation.

Political advisor and activist Gary Bauer responded to the misleading characterization by saying:

“I’m very religious. Mike Pence is very religious. There are a lot of very religious Christians and Orthodox Jews in the country. None of them are committing mass murders. It would be far more accurate to describe the jihadist as ‘very Islamic.’”

7. The FBI is categorizing the mass shooting as a terrorist attack.

A Saudi government analysis has revealed that the shooter appeared to embrace radical Islamic ideology as early as 2015 – two years before he entered the U.S. as an international aviation student.

Another investigation has been opened by Defense Secretary Mark Esper to examine the vetting procedures for accepting foreign nationals into the U.S. to train with our military.

In response, Gary Bauer wrote:

“Now some are suggesting we should take a serious look at this program and put more of these foreign students under surveillance. Are Norwegian students a threat? I don’t think so. We know who the likely threats are. We need to do a better of job of screening out the Islamists.”

8. Progressive politicians don’t really care about the victims of gun violence … or about ending gun violence.

Usually after a mass shooting, the politicians call for more gun regulations … the banning of certain firearms … and an end to gun violence.

But not this time…

Why?

Is it because the gunman was a Muslim from Saudi Arabia – not a U.S. citizen?

Or is it because all they care about anymore is impeaching President Trump?

Their silence is deafening … and very revealing about their true priorities.

Once again, Gary Bauer asks: “Did Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Reps. Adam Schiff or Jerry Nadler get up this morning thinking about the Watson family? In my opinion, there aren’t many issues more important than addressing what happened to their son. But that’s not what is motivating the progressive left today.”

  1. I pray for the family and the loss of a son, I ask for forgiveness for the shooters and I pray that some good comes this senseless shooting. Pray for a change of policy for those in charge

We live in a fallen world and we need to be aware of our situation at all times, I would like to encourage everyone to protect themselves. Whatever means you can use to protect yourselves and family, pepper spray, self defense training and yes even concealed carry.

    1. Our leaders hate us. They have been flooding us with muslims and the entire third world since the early 1970’s. The elite hate the white middle class.

  2. My prayers go out to the families of the Soldiers that perished in this insane act of hatred. America should know about this evil that has corrupted our system. Politics should not be allowed to come above our Countries safety. Shame on the Democrats and the fake news for not telecasting this to the people.

  3. Vetting Will Fail
    By James E. Horn

Pensacola, Fla.: A Saudi national murdered four wonderful Americans while at least ten fellow Saudis stood by, watched, and even assisted the perpetrator.
Days later, the Pentagon announced that it will do a better job of vetting foreign military student/trainees. HOGWASH! Properly and thoroughly vetting Saudis, Iraqis, Kuwaitis, Turks, Pakistanis, nationals of the fifty-seven (57) states of the umma of Islam is not feasible.
Crime statistics near and at military training facilities that host some of these characters are grossly underreported by despicably Politically Correct military, federal, and local authorities, and the media. The fix is in!
When a Saudi, a Turk, or other member of the Islamic umma commits a crime such as speeding, hit & run, DUI, DWL, shoplifting, assault and battery, theft, rape, they often get a bye and are simply permitted to leave the USA. That’s the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) that allows so many of these undisciplined creeps to cause harm and misery to American citizen victims without facing appropriate consequences.
Get robbed, beat up, injured in some way, assaulted, or raped and try to go to court and, gee whiz, the perpetrator is long gone courtesy of complicit authorities. Victims often have no recourse.
Sharia compliant members of the world of Islam (the umma) are taught to hate and to take advantage of, to abuse us, and have been led to understand that they can get away with their offenses, their crimes – because complicit American authorities let these awful cretins walk. Cash changes hands with sometimes substantial donations or under-the-table “gifts”. That’s how it works in their culture and they have been bringing their culture to our shores.
Trying to restrict these players to their respective bases simply won’t work very well, and these people (many of whom ae degenerates) will still have access to facilities, shops, liquor, and women or children on usually large bases.
I would like to suggest transferring all Moslem military training operations to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, but our lease will run out in fifteen years.
There are dozens of islands in the areas between East Africa and Indonesia where training bases for flight (and perhaps other) operations could be established, and where potential miscreants would have limited opportunity to pursue criminal and other abusive activities. For certain, they would have far less opportunities to prey on Americans.

    1. I agree with you, Mr. Horn. Plus they need to be done away with in front of a firing squad. And, might I add that the laws in this land have gone soft against all crimes committed in the USA, justice is not being served. Laws were instituted for the protection of the public, to establish order in the land so that it’s inhabitants would be able to live somewhat peaceably. The One and only God established His law, The Ten Commandments, for the purposes of establishing law and order. Now we have only political correctness and foolishness in dealing with crimes committed whether by our own citizens or foreigners. We need tough laws to be reestablished for deterrents against crimes. Nothing is being done as preventatives so therefore, crimes will get continue on and become worse.
